Tux Print is a 'publishing' program oriented towards children. It will let them easily compose and print a number of kinds of documents:
  • Cards
    Birthday, greeting, 'thank you', 'get well', holiday, seasonal, etc.
  • Posters
    Large text and images, spread across 2x2, 3x3, etc. sheets of paper.
  • Banners
    Very large text and images, spread across multiple sheets of paper.
  • Newsletters
    One or two sheets with a title, two columns of text, and some images.

It will be based on the SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) library, meaning it will be portable to various operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, BeOS, and more.
