Welcome

Welcome to New Breed Software! We create free, Open Source entertainment software for a variety of modern desktop operating systems (including Windows, Macintosh, Linux & Unix), classic computers (like the Amiga and Atari 8-bit), mobile devices (such as the Nokia Maemo tablets and Sharp Zaurus PDA), and handheld and home video game consoles (including the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and Game Park GP2X). Thanks to all who provide ports to this wide variety of platfroms!

Latest News
Tux Paint 0.9.34 released - October 31, 2024
Tons of new effects and some great new brushes (thanks, Krita!) in the latest Tux Paint. Out now for Windows, macOS, Linux, and OpenBSD. Coming soon for Android and Haiku.

/circus-linux/ Circus Linux! playable in a browser - September 15, 2024
Thanks to ICTylor, you can now play Circus Linux! right in a browser! (Webassembly port, via Emscripten)

FujiNet ISS Tracker 2024-04-07 - April 7, 2024
My Atari 8-bit version of the FujiNet International Space Station Tracker (and How Many People Are In Space Right Now? app) has been updated. Frank Rachel updated it to use a new FujiNet Library, and I improved the performance of large text blitting and added support for some UTF-8 Latin-1 characters (using the Atari's own International ATASCII character set when possible!) (In other news, ISS Tracker has been recreated for a bunch more platforms!)
