HOBBIES
GNU/Linux operating system
I have a a Pentium 133Mhz and a Celeron 300a (running at 450Mhz). Both are running GNU/Linux. I don't even have a copy of Windows!

I'm also co-founder, and for the first 5.5 years was president or VP, of the Linux Users' Group of Davis.

Video Games
Galaga, Tekken II, Sinistar, Dig-Dug, Bump-N-Jump, Ms. Pac Man, Daytona USA, Wipe Out, Road Blasters, Twisted Metal, Mega Man... lots more! I also founded and ran the now-defunct Davis Game Design Club.

Atari 8-bit computers
My "only computer" for years. I began programming it at the age of 7 or 8. I still write games and other wimpy applications for it occasionally. I'm also very interested in "Atari800," a great emulator.

Atari 2600 game console
My first and favorite game system! (I have our family's original woodgrain model, as well as a 2600 Jr., which is the one I actually play on, plus about 60 games.)

Nintendo NES game console
My second game system, and it plays CAPCOM's awesome "Mega Man 2!"

Sony PlayStation game console
With games like "Tekken 2," "Twisted Metal" and "WipeOut," it rules. The PS2 is nice, too, especially since it plays classic PSX games, as well as "Tekken 4," "Twisted Metal Black" and "WipeOut Fusion". ;^)

Atari Lynx handheld game console
4096 colors, backlit screen, stereo sound, connect to up to 7 other Lynxes. It rocks!

Atari Jaguar game console
The short-lived game system that was 64-bit years before Nintendo released their N64. I have two, so I can play networked BattleSphere!

PDAs
I got Melissa a Palm III, and had to get my own right after. I got an Agenda VR3 Linux-based PDA and wrote some games for it, and then Sharp gave me a Zaurus SL-5000D which I use daily.

Music
I like many kinds of rap, classical (except opera), electronica/techno/drum-and-bass, swing, classic jazz, Balinese, Indian, and more. I really don't like country or 'easy-listening.'

Television
Beavis and Butt-Head, South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, MadTV, Night Court, Police Squad, Batman the Animated Series, Frasier, the Discovery Channel, A&E, The Learning Channel and PBS, the excellent British sci-fis from the 70s and 80s, Blake's 7 and Dr. Who... Are You Being Served?, Red Dwarf, Freakazoid, Dexter's Laboratory.

Movies
2001: A Space Odyssey, Strange Brew, Pink Panther series, Forbidden Planet, Star Trek IV... I can't remember right now!
